Privacy Policy
BitsPlus LLC — Effective Date: January 20, 2026
Last updated: April 1, 2026
1. Overview
BitsPlus LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates software products and the website at https://www.bitsplus.ai. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Our products process your data locally wherever possible. We do not collect or store your source code, documents, scan results, or personal files on our servers. Some features may interact with third-party services (such as AI providers or app stores), subject to their own privacy policies and your configuration.
2. What We Collect
We collect minimal, anonymized data to improve our products:
- Anonymous usage events: We may collect high-level, anonymous telemetry such as product activation, feature usage counts, and crash reports. These contain no personally identifiable information and no user content. You can disable telemetry in each product's settings where applicable.
- Website analytics: We use privacy-friendly analytics on our marketing website to understand traffic patterns. No cookies are used for tracking individual users across sites.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
We want to be crystal clear about what we never touch:
- Your content — source code, documents, and files are processed locally and are not collected or stored by BitsPlus
- Results and output stay on your machine
- Personal files — our products only access files within their designated scope (e.g., your open workspace or folders you have explicitly added)
- Keystrokes or clipboard data
- Credentials, tokens, or secrets
4. Payment Data
If you purchase a license or paid product, payment processing may be handled by third-party merchants of record (such as Lemon Squeezy) or platform app stores (such as the Microsoft Store, Mac App Store, or Snap Store). We never see, store, or process your credit card number, banking details, or full billing address.
Payment processors may share with us: your name, email address, transaction ID, and license status. This information is used solely to provision and manage your purchase.
5. License Keys
Where applicable, license keys are stored locally on your machine using the platform's secure storage mechanism. License validation happens via a one-time check against our activation server. We do not track when or how often you use any product after activation.
6. Cookies
Our website uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality (such as remembering your cookie preferences). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing cookies.
If we implement analytics, we use privacy-friendly solutions that do not require cookie consent banners under GDPR (e.g., cookieless, aggregated analytics).
7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services in the operation of our website and products:
- Lemon Squeezy — Payment processing and license management
- Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection for our website
- Vercel — Website hosting and deployment
- Platform app stores — Distribution and payment processing for desktop applications (Microsoft Store, Mac App Store, Snap Store)
Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review them.
8. Data Retention
Anonymous telemetry data, if collected, is retained for a maximum of 12 months and then permanently deleted. Purchase-related data (email and transaction ID) is retained for as long as your license is active, plus 30 days after cancellation or expiration.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect any data we do handle. All communications between our products and our servers use TLS encryption. Our website is served over HTTPS. We follow industry best practices for securing our infrastructure.
10. Children's Privacy
BitsPlus products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users through the product or via email (if you have provided one through a purchase).
We encourage you to review this page periodically for the latest information on our privacy practices.
